Thi H. Nguyen-Phuoc, ND, PT, EAMP (Lac)
Dr Thi H. Nguyen-Phuoc’s (“Tee Win Foo”) passion for holistic health began with her diagnosis of lupus in 2001. For over ten years, she experienced a wide variety of symptoms and sought the help of many medical professionals. Along the way, she read extensively about the principles of Naturopathic Medicine and Chinese Medicine, and in 2010 she healed herself from most of the symptoms of lupus, including kidney failure.
Dr Thi’s basic approach to medicine is to share her knowledge, experience and expertise to empower patients to find their own healing paths. She acts as a guide on the journey, interpreting signs and symptoms as signals from the body asking for help—and the body is always speaking! Her philosophy is simple: listen and follow. By listening to the body’s messages, she helps discern which resources are lacking. When the body has the right support, it can heal itself from almost anything!
A lifelong learner, Dr Thi has been integrating her knowledge from her first physical therapy patient more than 14 years ago. Her eyes and hands are able to detect subtle musculoskeletal restrictions that limit the body from optimal function, and depending on the patient’s needs, she skillfully blends several techniques into a treatment session. Her goal is not only to return health and happiness to the body, but also to facilitate understanding and appreciation for our miraculous healing journeys.
Dr Thi has published her first book, Markings of the Butterfly, which details her experience with lupus. Her daily practice includes meditation, qi gong, and yoga exercises, and she enjoys singing, dancing, hiking, camping, or simply being out in Nature.
